Memory Foam
No memory foam mattress, not even from brands like Tempur Pedic, can cure your sleep disorder, back or hip pain but, at the very least, it can bring some small relief where other mattresses and beds have failed. And it may only do that a few nights out of the week.
Memory foam toppers are generally much cheaper than mattresses and using Tempur foam of the highest quality would make it economically unrealistic for manufacturers. A Tempur Pedic mattress overlay is made of the same NASA foam as Tempur mattresses. There is little information to indicate whether or not other mattress manufacturers use the same grade visco foam in their toppers.
Visco foam's reaction to heat is one of the unique things about Tempurpedic style foam because it increases its ability to flow around your body and better distribute your weight. Unfortunately, it is also source of a great deal of comment among consumers and the reason why memory foam ratings and reviews vary so much.
Tempur-Pedic beds are made, therefore, of a 'naturally resistant' foam to dust mites but so are all foam beds, even latex foam beds. The only real difference between memory foam beds like Tempurpedic and conventional foam beds is how many dead dust mites will be found in them.
