This album is a collection of The Corrs' greatest hits and it also contains 5 new tracks, two original Corrs songs and three covers. What's interesting on this album is the fact that the band decided to have an orchestra join them and it was a good decision because it adds to the magic of the songs.
Radio
A very good song but not one of their greatest hits. The lyrics are very melancholic, written by I don't have any idea who. It's about the hurt of breaking up and the way she relives their whole story, remembering everything that bounded her to him. She put her entire soul in this relationship and her efforts to get over him are in vain because he's always there ..." you are in my head, swimming forever in my head, tangled in my dreams". She just can't let go of the past ... she's trapped in this dreaming fantasy where he's always present. The music is great. Caroline on the drums and Jim on the guitar really make a great pace. Sharon's solo is flawless but still this is not an Irish tune, but it's not pop either. I just can't place it in a precise category ... it's unique.
At Your Side
A definitely pop tune and it's not a song I'd choose to play for someone who has to make a first impression about the band. The lyrics are very simple, about friendship, about being there in the good times and the bad ones. Sharon's violin doesn't seem to have that unique effect anymore but at least the voices are still the same.
No Frontiers
Beautiful song ... especially since Sharon and Caroline are the ones singing it. For the first time ever Andrea gives her sisters the opportunity to prove that music does run through the veins of all four siblings. You can't not be overwhelmed by these angelic voices, which normally are the supporting vocals for the youngest Corr, Andrea.
Old Town
This is probably the best new track on this album. Even though it's not their song it sure suites them. There are two new aspects n this track : the trumpet, a premier in a Corrs song and the second one is the funny (it is!:)) "ola" that Andrea puts in right after the trumpet's solo.
Everybody Hurts
The original track was a huge success but the Unplugged version is overwhelming. Andrea's voice is the deepest and the clearest ever. The music is very intense, a unique mix of acoustic guitar, violin and bongo (Caroline is the one playing the bongo). It's just one of those songs that would calm anyone.
