Andrea is the youngest and the shortest of the four Corrs. She's the lead singer but she plays the tin whistle as well) and her passion when she's singing is amazing (sometimes she gets emotional at the point of tears especially at "Queen Of Hollywood'). Andrea's voice is so clear and so powerful that sometimes you just can't believe it's true. Being the lead singer she is in someway the spokesperson for the group, because let's face it, the lead singer is in most cases the one who gets the largest amount of attention. She is the one who appears the most in the newspapers and though it seems to be great to be so famous, sometimes it's hard to see your face all the time in the tabloids and Andrea can't stand it.
Andrea is also the one who writes most of the lyrics of The Corrs" songs especially the dramatic and the hurtful ones. You could say that after being in the public eye for several years now she's not as vulnerable as before but our little songbird gets nervous just like everyone else, especially when it comes to appearing on TV. If you watch careful you can see how she's constantly moving, and playing around with her hair or shoes:)) - I'm not kidding!!! Still, no matter what she's feeling down deep she always has that gorgeous smile on her face.
'I remember first singing "Runaway" with that silly line "by candlelight, make love to me through the night'. And I was just turning my face away from my parents, so embarrassed, waiting for my mother to exclaim, "My God, where did you learn that??!. And I would say "From TV, Mummy!'. But the really hard part was showing the song to the rest of the group. Up until then she was the baby, the little sister who didn't count that much and the one who wasn't supposed to feel that way... But what a great song!!! And the others loved it, and so, "Runaway" came to life, one of the Corrs" most loved songs..
And most (if not all) tracks like "Only When I Sleep', an intense track about love and sensuality, have been written by Andrea and they fully express what Andrea's fantasizing about or what she's looking for in life and that's probably what we're all looking for...love. She's definitely the most romantic of the band.
Andrea feels the best on stage because there's where she can let go of her feelings through music. And she has an unique way in doing so. She's often been called "the flirty one" and many still wonder why?! Well, singing has a strange effect on her (or on the way everyone else sees her), maybe it's the passion or the clothes or maybe that's what she's like. The fact is that she always flirts with the audience and drives every male there insane. Beyond that, she really knows how to have fun. She loves dancing around on her siblings' solos and running around the stage. But there are some things that the audience really loves-Andrea almost tripping or introducing the wrong song, or even dropping her tin whistle. It's a treat!!!
Andrea Corr is not only a very talented musician but she's an aspiring actress. She's been in two movies already "The Commitments' and "Evita'. And she was also one of the singing voices of one of the main characters in "The Magic Sword (Quest For Camelot)'.
In the end all one could say about The Corrs" lead singer is that she's the one....
